More Additions to World of Warcraft, More Improvements to Joana’s Horde Guide

Jan 30, 2008 @ 06:40 pm by admin

Other new areas of Azeroth however are not exclusive to the most experienced of World of Warcraft players. The new races of Draenei and Blood Elf both have their own “launch pads” (newbie zones) and capital cities to explore and quest in and there is much to do here. Joana’s Horde Guide rises to the occasion with fully-detailed directions to get you and your Blood Elf on your way past level 20 in which you can continue your adventures like any other race would.

Once you’ve blazed your way through to level 60, it’s time to break on through to the Outland side. The Outlands is an entire continent of post level 60 goodness. There is so much to see and do here and it is arguably the best part of the expansion pack. However, with new adventures come new frustrations and Joana’s Horde Guide has added pages and pages and pages of information that will make your way to 70 enjoyably less irritating.

While we wait for the next expansion for World of Warcraft (Wrath of the Lich King) there is still lots to do and new patches are bringing exciting new changes. The Burning Crusade will keep WoW players busy and with a guide like Joana’s Horde Guide, it’s a snap to get to the new end game.

New Additions to World of Warcraft Make Way for New Improvements to Joana’s Horde Guide

Jan 24, 2008 @ 06:55 pm by admin

World of Warcraft proudly introduced its much anticipated The Burning Crusade expansion pack which included, amongst many things, a raised level cap from level 60 to level 70, two new races: the lost-in-space Draenei for the Alliance and the Simple-Life-meets-Anime Blood Elves for the Horde, and an entire new continent to explore. With these additions to World of Warcraft, strategy and power level guides like Joana’s Horde Guide have also made additions and added improvements to their already highly-popular helping handbooks.

Raising the level cap in World of Warcraft has opened the door (or gateway if you will) to a whole new barrel of fun that previously was not encountered in the game. Sure, it’s only ten levels more but because leveling gets exponentially more difficult and time consuming, these last ten levels make the expansion pack worth it alone. Being that strategy guides only gave help up to the old level cap of 60, there was quite a bit of information that needed to be added. Once again, Joana’s Horde Guide did not disappoint and gives a full account of the most efficient and effective way to level through the most challenging areas of Azeroth.

Tomorrow: ace the newbie zones with ease and out-perform in the Outlands.

Making the Most of My Game Time with Joana’s Horde Guide

Dec 16, 2007 @ 09:13 pm by admin

I’m not some sixteen-year old kid on summer vacation or a retiree with way too much time on his hands. I’m a full-time, full-family, full- well, I’m just full! I don’t have much time in the day to spend on myself so when the opportunity arises, I make sure I don’t squander it. If I’m lucky enough to get that time playing World of Warcraft, I find that using a guide like Joana’s Horde Guide is a must.

Now don’t get me wrong, I love experiencing things on my own at first. I didn’t use any help in the first year of playing World of Warcraft and sometimes it was difficult. It took me forever just to get out of my rag clothing and it was a painfully slow progression, but I did gain a greater sense of accomplishment doing it on my own. However, these days, if I’ve wasted an hour just trying to find a “Ghostclaw Lynx” and all I see are “Springpaw Lynx”, I’m wasting my time (time that, again, is very precious to me). If I’m lost on a quest, I save the frustration and reach for Joana’s Horde Guide and the problem is solved. Most of the time, I find that I was completely off from where I should have been and would have just wasted more time (and probably would have damaged a keyboard along the way). Quests can be confusing and sometimes being befuddled in World of Warcraft is simply a matter of being lost in the grand world of Azeroth.

My Favorite Thing About Joana’s Horde Guide

Dec 16, 2007 @ 09:07 pm by admin

In the grand size of this game, one thing has probably become very clear to you: you will be spending many minutes a day simply running around, flying around, riding around, and galloping around (and did I mention running around?). I don’t even want to know how much time I’ve spent on my highest-level characters just on transportation. This is where a guide can be very helpful. My absolute favorite thing about using Joana’s Horde Guide is the efficiency of it. The guy who wrote it has made many level 60 characters in record time (4 days and 20 hours to be exact) so he lists exactly where you need to go, how you need to do it, and most importantly, the best ways to get around. Trust me when I say that nothing will get you to level 70 faster than knowing the best ways to get from point A to point B without backtracking all over Blizzard’s green earth.

Saving Leg Work with Joana’s Horde Guide

Dec 16, 2007 @ 09:01 pm by admin

Speaking of backtracking, have you ever started a new character in the same area that you’ve done before, only to not even remember how to do some of the quests you’ve completed once, twice, or more? I’m no spring chicken and maybe memory really is the first thing to go, but I don’t want to “explore” things that I’ve already explored. If I want to try playing a Blood Elf Priest and I’ve already played a Blood Elf Rogue, I can pick up Joana’s Horde Guide and get my new character leveled up ultra fast by sidestepping my exploring side and instantly gratifying my must-get-one-more-level side.

That one-more-level feeling is what makes World of Warcraft so addictive. Likewise, sometimes the feeling of hopelessness in reaching your next level is what makes a guide like Joana’s Horde Guide so necessary. If you’re short on time in the real world but you know your way around World of Warcraft you won’t be disappointed in getting a good guide like this. And if you’re looking for the most efficient way to power level your second, third, or thirtieth character to the top, Joana’s Horde Guide will give you the gift of getting there in record time.

Comparing Thottbot to Joana’s Horde Guide

Dec 10, 2007 @ 10:06 pm by admin

For World of Warcraft players who may have been living under a rock, Thottbot.com has been THE place to go for quest help. For those players that have gotten out from under that rock and have wandered around a little bit, Joana’s Horde Guide (also known as “Mancow”) has arguably become the ultimate guide to the world of Azeroth and beyond. With two bohemiths of information available, what’s the difference between Thottbot and Joana’s Horde Guide?

The Pros and Cons of Thottbot & Joana’s Horde Guide

Dec 10, 2007 @ 10:04 pm by admin

Presented in a wikipedia-ish format, Thottbot allows anyone to update information and it’s even easier to find what you’re looking for in its no-nonsense search engine. Thottbot is absolutely free and easily accessible via the Internet. Think of it as an encyclopedia of the World of Warcraft that has a dry erase board in which anyone can add information to. Sometimes this can be a bad thing, but for the most part it’s great because the information is usually updated as quests and items change in the game (due to revisions, bug fixes, etc.). It’s an all-inclusive resource of information but it isn’t a how-to guide by any means.

On the other hand (or hoof, depending on your race), Joana’s Horde Guide is laid out as an almost “to-do list” of instructions. Accept this quest here, then accept this other quest here, do them in this area, then turn the quests in. Maps also accompany these lists of instructions in each of the areas the player is in with numbers that correspond to each task and lines depicting the fastest route to get from here to there. Joana’s Horde Guide isn’t searchable and it isn’t free (like Thottbot), but it does fill in the gray areas that Thottbot simply can’t.

Thottbot & Joana’s Horde Guide: Everything A WoW Player Needs To Succeed

Dec 10, 2007 @ 10:02 pm by admin

Both Thottbot and Joana’s Horde Guide are very easy to use (regardless of your personal “Int” points). Thottbot is as simple as entering what you’re looking for (e.g. “Staff of Awesomeness”) and it will retrieve not only the item but anything associated with that item as well including the stats, the items needed to make it (if it is craftable), what mob drops it or even what quest gives it. Joana’s Horde Guide is as easy as reading directions and simply following them through. The newly added videos are also a great help showing actual real-time game play of tips and tactics for those particularly tough bosses (now that’s putting your money where your mouth is).

The best thing about both of these resources is that they’re going to save you some grief in the end. Not all of World of Warcraft’s quests are easily spelled out and a helping hand can be welcome to keep the game fun (and that IS why you’re playing, isn’t it?). Thottbot will tell you everything you need to know about point A and point B, Joana’s Horde Guide will tell you how to connect those dots in a fast and efficient way.
